We tried Pennie's for the first time today after seeing them featured on The Texas Bucket List. We ordered tamales, barbacoa, 3 meat plate with brisket, sausage, and chicken, mac&cheese, and rice and beans. It was all phenomenal! The meat was all so ... tender and juicy. The Mac&cheese is some of the creamiest I've ever had. I'm not a fan of BBQ sauce but I have now found one I actually like! You can tell a lot of love is put into the food. I spoke with the owner briefly, and she was so sweet and accommodating. Absolutely worth a try if you're ever on the island and want to have a delicious lunch! Read more

Out of towners stopped by after watching Texas Bucket list and Pennies DOES NOT disappoint! We tried the Tamales and Brisket Taco plate. The Tamales are undoubtedly the BEST we've ever had and the smokey Brisket Tacos were absolutely delicious.
